Antique French terracotta pot | Huilier

A stunning 1880s French walnut oil bottle with a lovely rotund shape and a beautiful subtle mat glaze. Used to store valuable walnut oil these pots are very collectable and were entirely handmade. Each region of France has a slightly different design, shape and form to their locally made walnut oil vessels.

These lovely pots are very sculptural. They look fabulous both on the floor or on a shelf or table.
