Reclaimed Teak Lift-Top Console Table | Heidi

Part console table, part storage chest, this piece has evolved over time into something both practical and unusually characterful. The base and legs appear to have been added later in its life, lifting what was once a substantial antique storage chest into a more functional, console-height piece suited to modern interiors.

Crafted entirely from reclaimed teak, the timber carries a deep warmth and a naturally timeworn surface. Traces of historic white paint remain across the top, sitting alongside the original iron hardware and aged detailing that speak quietly to the piece’s past. We believe sections of the wood may once have formed part of an old architectural element or doorway, adding further depth to its history.

The hinged top lifts to reveal generous internal storage, making it as useful as it is visually distinctive. In an entrance hall, it offers a place for everyday essentials to be tucked away neatly. In a bedroom, it works equally well for linens or clothing. Positioned beneath a television, it brings texture and warmth while concealing the practicalities of modern living.
